Jòvita O'Donnell, Clinical Govenance Lead

My Story

Jòvita O’Donnell, our new Clinical Governance Lead at OHWorks, brings a blend of warmth and expertise to our team. Hailing from Northern Ireland and a proud graduate of Queen’s University Belfast, Jòvita is an experienced occupational health professional.

 

She is a highly regarded, accomplished clinician, with comprehensive management skills supported by extensive academic qualifications, including First Class Honours degrees in Nursing and Psychological Trauma Studies, a Certificate in Disability Assessment, ILM Level 5 Certificate in Leadership and Management, a NEBOSH certificate, and PRINCE2 Practitioner status. 

 

Jòvita has a sound track record of working within public, private, and independent sectors.  Before joining OHW, Jòvita served as a Clinical Trainer, Auditor, Head of Safeguarding, and Head of Quality and Governance.  Notably, from 2020-2022, she was a member of a national team of Clinical Leads supporting the delivery of the Track and Trace system across England.

 

Jòvita’s educational acumen coupled with her diverse professional background enables her to navigate complex situations, develop innovative problem-solving initiatives, and effectively communicate solutions and recommendations across all levels of organisational influence. 
 

As our Clinical Governance Lead, Jòvita is dedicated to driving quality improvement initiatives and developing robust systems, training programmes, and processes. She plays a crucial role in advising on national policy implementation, ensuring patient safety, and conducting thorough risk assessments and internal audits. Her strategic leadership will assist OHWorks in maintaining its SEQOHS accreditation, ensuring compliance with legislation and industry standards.
